Welcome To HEG’s Inner Circle eNews
A Bi-Weekly Recap of Essential Reading For The Private School Sector
| | |
Welcome to the 197th edition of HEG’s Inner Circle Private School eNews, where Halladay Education Group shares key insights into the latest investment activity shaping the global private education sector.
HEG MARKET INTELLIGENCE
Global platform builders continue to consolidate the career and culinary education space. Triumph Higher Education Group's acquisition of the Culinary Institute of Barcelona builds on its earlier purchase of Vancouver's Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts, a transaction HEG advised on the sell-side, linking North American and European culinary training under one network. Acquirers are paying for cross-border reach, not just single-site assets.
Elsewhere, KKR-backed Lighthouse Learning deepened its Indian K-12 platform; Globeducate added Spain's top-ranked Colegio Peleteiro; and Noon Academy's acquisition of the exam-prep platform Almakhfi shows that edtech consolidation is continuing at pace. Not every deal starts from strength: a historic UK grammar school was recently sold out of administration under cost pressure.
For owners, planned exits yield better terms than distressed ones. For buyers, platform building and geographic reach remain the clearest paths to durable value. HEG has direct experience on both sides.
