We would like to help you start the school of your dreams. The simplest way to do this is to select one the following options and call our firm at 604-868-0002 or email HEG at info@halladayeducationgroup.com to make arrangements to move forward.

FREE CONSULTATION: Hold a complimentary 1-on-1 30 minute telephone consultation to find out more about your project. We can help you get started in the right direction and help you understand where to go to first. This can be can set up just by calling me at 604-868-0002 or email me at info@halladayeducationgroup.com to take the next step (valued at $150).

ONE DAY WORKSHOP AND FOLLOW-UP REPORT: Hold a 1-day workshop where we provide a comprehensive presentation on the 10 key stepping stones to starting your school and address all of your questions. We review the critical elements you need to consider in starting a sustainable school. Afterwards, we follow-up with a comprehensive Summary Report that provides details on your schools: purpose and direction, educational program, marketing and admissions, project overview, organizational structure, facility needs, fundraising, budget, and recommendations, timelines, and action plan to move forward. This is a valuable strategy in moving forward in a coordinated effort.

FEASIBILITY STUDY: We perform statistically driven surveys to gauge real market demand for your school. This approach determines whether the formation of your school is realistic and feasible. Our professional survey process include both qualitative and quantitative tools including: focus groups, phone surveys, mail surveys, online surveys, and more. As with the One-Day Workshop, we meet with you in person to better understand the type of school you want to start, as well as provide a comprehensive presentation on the 10 key stepping stones to starting your school and address your questions. Our follow-up Feasibility Report is extremely detailed and provides answers to all key questions about market demand and enrollment, including: purpose and direction, educational program, marketing and admissions, statistically validated enrollment projections (grade, gender, location), work plan, organizational structure, location and facilities, fundraising, finance (start-up budget, 5 year financial forecast, revenue projections, ROI, payroll, programming, and more). We can provide this with for- and non-profit schools.

DEVELOP YOUR BUSINESS PLAN: In many cases, founders need a detailed Business Plan to assist them with approaching investors to provide the capital needed to fund the formation of your school and cover potential shortfalls in the first few years of operation. In addition, non-profit schools need a business plan as part of their fundraising case to convince donors or lenders on the true costs of the start-up budget and the first five years within the operational budget. We can assist this with developing a comprehensive business plan that covers all the financial details needed to start and operate your school. Essentially, it is the detail of the Feasibility Study without the survey data.

FORMATION CONTRACT: When you are ready, we can tailor a proposal for our services specifically for your formation project that will assist you through the entire process of starting your school, from concept to opening your doors. This includes developing, implementing, and overseeing your strategic plan, financial plan, educational plan, human resources plan, marketing and admissions plan, fundraising, infrastructure, accreditation, and much more. Please note that the fee we charge for any of the above services will be directly discounted from this contract.

MONTHLY RETAINER/COACH FEE: Many founding groups feel that they have the internal staff to handle the critical elements in starting their own own school, but like many, they want to have a coach to go to when they have questions or have hit a wall. We can make arrangements to set aside as many days/hours per month so that you can bounce ideas and questions off of us, or determine what the next step is.

What Others Say About Our Formation Services

"Pleased with the professionalism of HEG’s consultants and the quality of the work delivered..."

Our project is the start-up of a new PreK-12 International Baccalaureate School in the city of Panama. HEG was initially hired by our group to carry out the Feasibility Study  and Business Pla, which included the analysis of local market conditions to set up the school, analysis of market demand based on the study's results, financial projections of the entire operation for a 10-year period, plus all activities required to prepare the new school for operation. The feasibility study included guidance regarding our school's mission and vision statements, and educational philosophy, as well as human resource requirements, organizational structure, etc. The final deliverable is a very complete report that covers all aspects of new school development requirements, which is of high enough calibre for presentation to banks, investors, and others required for the implementation phase of the project.

Our group is very pleased with the professionalism of HEG’s consultants and the quality of the work delivered. The feasibility study stage required Doug Halladay and another member of his team to travel to Panama twice – where we had very productive work sessions with our group and were fortunate to have a good working relation with HEG at all times. In addition to the visits, we had regularly scheduled teleconferences as the study advanced and everything worked out well. We feel that the investment was definitely worthwhile as we were able to receive guidance and advice from experts in the field, including people who have started-up and owned their own schools.

The end-product received from HEG has been very valuable to our group. The feasibility study and business plan developed by HEG provides us additional credibility from experts in the field, given HEG’s extensive experience with top quality schools internationally.

In a nutshell, when we sit down to present our project to financial advisors and land developers, and they review our Business Plan, they immediately conclude that we have done our homework, and thus our project is moving along swiftly.

We are now at the Project Implementation Phase and finalizing financial arrangements to proceed with school formation activities, including retaining HEG as our advisor for the implementation stage. I would definitely recommend HEG without hesitation. Their expertise in planning and managing top international private schools is very valuable when sitting down to define what your projects needs are, especially in the financial aspects of the operation.
